Lindsey Finch works at St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough and wanted to apply for an internal promotion. Part of the application process required Lindsey to deliver a presentation but a lack of self confidence meant she didn’t believe she could do it to a high enough standard.
However Manar Associates delivered a range of courses for the Hospice including interview skills, building assertiveness and presentation skills training, all of which Lindsey attended as well as taking part in some coaching.
Lindsey found the courses to be beneficial not just professionally, but for her life as a whole. “I’m really pleased that I enrolled on the courses and I’ve gained tips to incorporate into both my personal and professional life, such as building my assertiveness.
“Having a work book to take away and re-read is helpful. Shahida was enthusiastic and really knowledgeable, and the learning environment felt comfortable,” said Lindsey. After taking part in the training, Lindsey attended the interview and delivered a high quality presentation. And the result? She was promoted!
A Beverley and East Yorkshire letting agent, RPMS Letting, wanted to ensure they consistently provided an excellent level of service to both their landlord and tenant customers.
In order to achieve this they enlisted Manar Associates to facilitate customer service training for all their staff. During the training every member of staff had the opportunity to contribute to a discussion about setting customer service standards.
