Executives need ‘thinking spaces’ in which they can step back from the pressures and be able to work out what’s important to them and what they need to focus on.
Some of the areas coaching can help you with are:
My coaching style is client-centred, solutions focused and success orientated. As a Director I work in high-achieving organisational cultures and although never directive when coaching I still possess the essence of an ‘achievement’ style. I admit to wanting ‘to succeed’ and that is precisely what I want for my clients….for them to succeed too.
Profound empathy, active listening and focused questioning/discussion are the three cornerstones of my coaching. Additionally, as appropriate, I may use a number of developmental resources i.e. Feedback instruments, psychometric testing etc, to help provide us with an even greater insight about you and your relationship with others.
A typical coaching programme would involve a minimum of six coaching sessions lasting no longer than two hours each. Prior to the sessions commencing each senior leader/manager is asked to reflect on coaching outcomes and objectives. These are then used to create a coaching plan which is utilised to track progress and maintain focus.
